Spring Season is storm season, and it could be the right time to start one! Being prepared ahead of time could save you thousands of dollars, time and headaches, because you will have something to give your insurance company in the event of a disaster.

Here a few steps that will help you create your Home/apartment/office inventory:
1- Take pictures. Make sure you take pictures of all your belongings, heirlooms, and prized possessions in every room of your house/apartment/office. Once the pictures are taken, label them with a description, including where you bought each item along with the make, model and serial numbers.
2- Video record it. Video record every room in your house/apartment/office specifying the contents/valuables you record in the video. Narrate the video as to the particulars of each item.
3- Keep and store an electronic file. Use your computer or mobile device to create and store your inventory list and keep your inventory along with receipts in your safe deposit box, on a disk or at a friend or family member’s home. You can also email the file to yourself.
