Water damaged apartment building
A recent storm dumped a lot of rain in a short period of time, causing raw sewage to come up into an apartment building. Upon investigation, our inspection determined that this wasn't the first time water had damaged the walls. Mold had developed on the lower areas of these walls.
Walls were cut 1' high, to not only get rid of the mold (that had gone dormant after the last flooding episode), and to properly dry the framing structure. An antimicrobial spray was also used to help prevent mold growth with this flooding. Without this process, mold growth would have expanded to new areas.
